Shaler Area Ice Hockey

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, and sign up for participation in the 2024-2025 Shaler Area Ice Hockey tryouts.

Age levels for the 2024/2025 season are determined as follows:

• Varsity/Junior Varsity - Birth years 2010 and older in grades 9-12.
• Middle School - Birth years 2010-2012 in grades 6-9; however, if you are a 2010 in grade 9 you are encouraged to play Junior Varsity.  All 9th graders typically play Junior Varsity unless there is a need to play "down" for safety reasons.
• Developmental/Little Titans - Birth years 2013 and under in grades K-6. (There are no tryouts for this program).

Tryout dates and location are available on our home and tryouts pages.  During the tryouts the players will be given numbers and evaluated by the coaching staff as well as other volunteers.  Call-backs* may be contacted for the later rounds.  Results will be made available within a few days after the last tryout.

Tryout fees are $125 per player due on the first day of tryouts.  Payment can be made by cash or check made out to SAIHC.  No refunds will be given and failure to make payment will result in loss of ice time.   A separate $250 check for each player's season commitment fee is also due at tryouts and this will be used towards the player's season fees, essentially as their first payment installment.  This check will only be cashed if the player accepts a position on a team.  If the position is declined or if the player does not make a team the check will be destroyed.  

Each player must provide a valid 2024-2025 USA Hockey registration number (this number is available starting April 1, 2024).  If player does not have an updated USA Hockey registration code, please follow the steps provided below. 

• Step 1:  CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.
• Step 2:  Return to this registration and proceed by clicking CONTINUE below. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Code that you received in Step 1.
